83 Stockwell Park Road

"For the last couple of years, I have been tracing my family tree and was interested to find that Stockwell Park Road has its own web site. As a small child of three I was brought from Essex to live at No.83 SPR in 1939. We were bomb damaged on three occasions having one time had an incendiary bomb in the roof. We had previously been allowed back in the house after war damage repairs had been done but on the last occasion (about 1944 as I recall) the house had been sold on. However, we did manage to rent No.36 SPR until I was 16. I still have fond memories of my time there and often relate stories to my husband particularly about No.36. I find it sad that it is now derelict as it was a lovely house. Incidentally, I attended St Michael's Church and School and the minister's name at that time was Rev. Flack who lived opposite No.36.

I hope I have not bored you with my own personal interest in Stockwell Park Road.
