e) Somerville Hastings 'fighting fund' : Nothing new to report. Should an inappropriate planning application be proposed, the Residents' Association's strength lies in working with the neighbourhood to oppose it, writing letters, organising mailings, attending meetings etc. Joint discussions with active individuals and groups would be held to decide how best to raise funds and progress local objections. For the present, the Residents' Association will earmark ?200 -?300 as an immediate contribution to such a situation should it arise. Association funds as they stand would be the smallest drop in the ocean in any planning enquiry cost.
Ollie Laughton-Scott talked about the web site. The structure is now in place and these sites can be accessed: Going Out; Kids' Section; Useful contacts; Local organisations; Offers and wanting; United We Stand (issues of concern); Events and History. Each site requires a co-ordinator to receive/edit/organise contributions before sending them on to be incorporated in the website. John Davis expressed willingness to become involved and he and Ollie will be in touch by email. Darius Poli (16 Stockwell Park Road) has also said he will help and Ollie will contact him. More helpers needed. Funds: It was agreed that, for the present, web site development money to be deposited with the Residents ' Association bank.
Gill explained that our area is now split between two home beat officers, the divide being down the middle of Stockwell Park Road. John Davis reported on problems in Lorn Road near the allotments (drugs, prostitution, related assaults).
CCTV cameras to be installed on comer of Mostyn Road.
