"... about the planning proposal on the old Scotts Garage site. You may be aware that prior to the Election I had been in communication with a number of local residents (in particular, Graham McKerrow and Marc Ennals, and Marie Maguire) and consequently I am aware of the many issues posed by this development. I will certainly help campaign with local residents on this now that I have been elected. My first priority is to request an extension to the Consultation Deadline (23/08/2003), as it strikes me as ridiculous to have such a limited time to respond in the middle of the Summer holidays when most sensible people are away! I will let you know the outcome of this."
