Following a noisy rave at 189 Clapham Road in the first weekend of October 2004 Claire wrote:
"I can only sympathise with you for the distress this incident must have
caused both you, and your neighbours.
I have made enquiries and it seems that approximately 600 people attended the
location for an illegal rave. Obviously, due to the number of people involved,
and lack of manpower, it took us a long time to close the event down. We have
to follow certain, sometimes lengthy, procedures in order to deal with these
types of situations. A number of arrests were made and the premises has been
suitably secured.
