Second Flower Festival hopes for more children?s entries
Following the success last summer of the first Flower Festival in St Michael?s Church, it is hoped that this year will attract even more entries and raise yet more money for the restoration fund. Everyone is welcome to enter and ? as well as adults of course - we are particularly keen to encourage as many children as possible to do their own arrangements. We hope to see an increase on the 19 we received from children last year.
Displays should be brought to the church on Friday morning or, for children, immediately after school so they are complete before the concert in the evening.
Everyone attending the concert or visiting the church for the Flower Festival on Sunday will be able to judge their favourite display. Canon Grant will announce the winners at 5.15 pm on Sunday 22 June at 54 Stockwell Park Crescent, where teas will be served at the end of the Gardens Open afternoon.
