A local resident received the following information from Lambeth about abandoned vehicles:-
Lambeth Street Care say they do not have a Mission Statement as such but if they did it would be to remove all identified Abandoned Vehicles (ABVs) as quickly as possible.
Lambeth Street Care targets that relate to ABV removal are:
- 70% of vehicles removed within 10 days of identification/notification.
- Every road that the authority is responsible for to be inspected for cleansing and ABVs at least once a month.
- 100% of customer referrals to be checked within a week.
- Known ABV hotspots to be checked on a weekly basis.
Street Care have set up a link with the parking wardens to report ABVs when they see them but the consistency of this is reliant on the parking warden.
However, they will ask their parking enforcement contractor to be more vigilant in the future.
